America's Flower Man
There is an article in the Boston Globe, 22nd September 2005, by Linda Matchan, about America’s Flower Man. Dale Rohman.
You can read it here
He is 67 years old and an advocate for flowers for every one, every day, not just the special days or special times.
I agree with him totally. Flowers have such a wonderful affect on us all. To have a vase of fresh flowers near you, to be able so look at the beauty of flowers, will pick up your spirits like nothing else.
Flowers don’t have to be expensive. You can pick up a bunch to take home, they only need to have the stems cut and put into water. You don’t even have to have a vase, look around your home, jugs look great with flowers in, even a wind cooler, without the wine of course.
If you are sending flowers as a gift, yes, you do have to pay delivery, but when you consider, same day delivery, door to door, sometime only an hour or so after you ordering them, they are on their way to your someone special. The delivery cost for this service is minimal compared with other courier type services.
Specialist flower couriers who know how to look after them deliver flowers. So when they arrive at your special person’s place they look as good as when they left the flower shop.
If there is no one home to receive the arrangement, then the flower delivery person has certain guidelines to follow.
The flowers are always treated with the utmost care so your gift of flowers will arrive in perfect condition.
Next time you pass the flower barrow, or corner store with the market bunches of flowers outside, whatever catches your eye first, buy them, take then home and just enjoy their beauty.
You will find they give your home something special.
My best to you,
Carmel
